    I had a pioneer headunit, switched to
    a Sony, and wish I still had the pioneer.

    McClaren - interesting. Never heard of them before. Their subs use very familiar baskets though.

    What I think he means by sub-fi is fi.

    Yeah, it is a fun idea - I'm in.

    Speakers - Very Pleased with the JBL Club Speaker Line, not a lot of experience with anything new. Old MBQuart (Germany) were the best sounding. New MBQuart (China) is crap.

    Sub Amp - Alpine MRV-M500 (I have this in Both the Tacoma and the Camry)
    4-Channel Amp - Very Pleased with Memphis 16-SA4.50

    I really miss my old Quart stuff - some of the best sounding drivers I ever owned. So a few years ago I pulled the trigger on some of the new stuff...some of the worst drivers I've ever owned. Just pure junk. Makes Pyle look good. Sadly most of the good old school brands sold out and now sell flea market garbage. That said, it's cheaper now than ever to put together a fantastic audio system, so there is a silver lining.
