It was great meeting you and fun to run into other Toyota enthusiasts. It's hard to beat ice cream in the desert. Hopefully we'll see you again at cars and coffee

No one likes a quitter. ;)

Just finished my Black Friday shopping...all one item of it. Thank God for the Internet - don’t have to door bust Home Depot in the morning. Gotta head over to Fry’s at some time tomorrow, but not at 5AM!

Hahahaha, ok, AWESOME! It was actually great seeing you guys out there! Hopefully the Pro was able to belly-scrape through the day without any damages. Still <3 the LC.

I'm really glad that our glamping addiction was able to put a smile on Kai's face, 'cause he was looking a little bored after his Minecraft deactivated. . I really wanted to do the 'over the top' and have ice cream out in the desert, but actually...we left for NM the next day and were in freezing temps...soooo, I still have the rest of it left over, lol. Brought it out there JUST for Kai, apparently!

Big Bend is a must. We were at the visitor center by 1 and still had time to run trails. Granted we arrived at our first site in the dark... The trails are all very accessible. Minimal scratches. Ran them all in 2wd with a couple exceptions on Black Gap.

Good thing about yours with low miles is you don't need the master set up set, just the little ones with shims.

Phew......the last several days have been super stressful but happy to report my mom is doing better and now at a physical rehab place for the next 5 -10 days to help strengthen her leg and continue to heal. Going to see her this afternoon when I close down my jobsite. :locked:

On a lighter note, I need some help choosing wheels and tire size!!!! @Texoma and I had previously discussed a few options right after my suspension install, but since then I have not had too much time to really put some thought into it. For the rest of the group that doesn't know what suspension i'm on here is what I have:

    - OME Nitro Fronts on 885 coils with Taco Lean kit installed
    - Rear is Dakar light duty leaf pack and OME Nitro rear shocks.
    - Everything was purchased from Heasdstrong offroad and as previously mentioned installed by Chris ( @Texoma).

I'm going to stick with 17" wheels. I do a lot of off roading but not a ton of rock crawling etc. so i'm not too concerned on the extra rubber a 16" wheel would give. It is my understanding from research that 285's will definitely rub without some trimming. 275's not so much? I'm also looking to go a bit wider so i'm certainly open to suggestions. As the look of the wheels, i'm not picky on that but i'm sticking with my theme of my truck which is Magnetic grey with black accents (black wheels). When I've had time i'm going through the following thread just to get an idea what other's that have similar suspension are running whee/tire wise. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/old-man-emu-questions-answers-pictures.258245/

Much appreciate any input gang!!! I hope everybody is having a great holiday weekend and please be safe if you're traveling. Going back and forth from Burnet, TX to Webberville these last few days i've seen my fair share of retarded driving :annoyed::der::turtleride::burp:

    Glad to hear about moma.

I would get a set of SCS wheels with Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/70/17

But, I am somewhat biased. Although, they are awesome wheels and great tires.
