Yes sir. I can't seem to keep this truck in alignment, so I figured this would be the best route to go. Once the alignment is set I won't be able to lose it unless I bend my frame.

    Plates are found here: https://optoffroad.com/products/alignment-cam-eliminator-plates

Planning on hacking the end of my camburg arms off and welding in these bungs.

Lol! Yeah it should probably be a more common occurrence. The road has about 15 or 20 of these "jumps" and is a blast to drive.

Finished up this engine crossover over the weekend. Between this an my Total Chaos gussets, hopefully I can keep my shock towers in one piece.

I used some roll cage disconnects so I can pull just the top portion off to make engine work easier, and some shock tower reinforcements from eimkeith found here: https://eimkeith.com/buystuff/stk/

    IMG_7820.jpg

I originally tried keeping the wheel well sheet metal in one piece but quickly realized there wouldn't be enough room for the crossover mounts without some trimming. I ended up taking about 1'' off of the sheet metal right above the shock tower, and tapered the cut back into the original sheet metal edge. The edge is still a little rough, but I plan to clean it up a bit more next time I do a full suspension teardown.

    IMG_5878.jpg

Here's another view of the cut that shows how the sheet metal would eventually hit the tube if I hadn't cut it back. At first I tried bending the sheet metal toward the wheel to make room for the tube, but this made it impossible for the shock reinforcement plate to slide up and off of the 3 upper shock bolts.

    IMG_2773.jpg

I also had to notch my hood for the crossover to fit. I would imagine if you didn't have a supercharger you might be able to get away with not having to do this. I plan to either weld this shut with a little half moon like piece, or just throw some edge trim on the edges and call it good.

    And... The final product.

    Nice. Not bad.

I wonder how effective it is vs others I've seen when the tube is more in line with the coilover since that's were all the force is coming from.

I'm not certain on this, but I would imagine these shock towers fail from flexing again and again over time. Kinda like how if you bend a piece of steel back and forth it will eventually snap. My theory is that this will eliminate side to side flex, and the TC gussets can deal with the vertical stresses. Might add some gussets going from the tube out over the top of the coilover down the road.

hmm interesting thought. I suppose that could be. I think it kind of depends on where the leverage point is. it is closer in that where you put your tube.

Either way. Way better that stock! ha

Plus I like how it has a spot to add a secondary shock.
