Hi all. I suffered a bad right shoulder injury last year. I want to put an extension on my floor shifter (automatic) shift knob. I think it will be easier to operate. Anyone did this? Does original just unscrew off? Are threads 8.0 x 1.25? BTW my taco is a 2014 4 door, 4x4. Thanks.

Okay, got the original off easy enough. Can anyone confirm the thread size?

I'm sorry it didnt fit, from everything I could find after a half hour of searching both the forums and vendor websites, it should have. Either the extension listed on Amazon is not 8 x 1.25 or Toyota changed the thread pitch on the Automatics after a certian year. I'm curious to know if you find anything out.

It says it fits my 2011. Aren't the threads the same size across the 05-15's?

I have a vendor that does custom aluminum cnc work. If you're interested in a custom shift knob let me know and I'll put you in touch with him.

They (Sickspeed) just said that they think they sent the wrong piece. I'll update when I get the new piece. BTW "Amazons Garage" said the piece Would Not fit my 2014 Tacoma Sport.
