    Blew the auto tranny in my 99 tacoma 4x with a 3.4. Will one out of a 4 runner work? thanks

    its the same transmission, different wiring, sorry

    Because I was quoted $2500 by a transmission shop and I can buy a used one for about 500 and there is one out of a 4 runner right near my house, if I knew it would work.

    881 Front coils, Bilstien 5100's all the way front set to "0" Icon Dynamic's mini leafs in rear, stock tires.
    Unless you get a definate fit, and waste time installing a not so sure, mess with wireing, then that one takes a shit did you really save any money, if the engine, and other mechanicals, body, are in good shape, rebuild it.

    get one from another taco, but make sure it matches up.
