So yesterday while I was cleaning, I decided to pull the center console/cup holders out. While I was at it I saw two screws holding in the shifter, took those out and noticed there was something holding it in. Turns out theres wiring in there so I just slid it back down and screwed it back on. Now the shifter wont lock into park. I also noticed the button doesn't function as it did before. Anybody ever experience something like this? What did I do? Is this dangerous? Any help?

The only wires in there should've been for your overdrive button... I just took mine off to clean it so just make sure the overdrive button is in correctly and you should be fine, also make sure you hit the brake first before trying to push the button

There is a little screw on the handle itself, start there.

Take the two screws off the bottom then pop the OD piece off of the shifter, then the OD button comes out and the wires come unplugged then it slides off
