    Hi There,
My tranny is cooked in my wifes Tacoma.

    2003 TRD Prerunner, 3.4, auto

I have an opportunity to buy a very low mileage tranny from a '99 Tacoma, 2wd, 3.4 non-prerunner.

Does anyone know if this would work?

Both trannys are A340E (30-40LE). The only difference are the numbers to the right of the model number on the stamped tranny tag. THe 03 shows 35000/3G330, while the 99 shows 35000/3G120.

Does anyone know what these numbers are?

Everything on the exterior of the tranny look identical.

Any help would be most appreciated!
