I have to turn my factory, non-JBL, head unit to max to get med sound from AUX input. All ready tried swapping patch cords and devices, same problem. Any help?

I asked the dealership and they said they all do that. My 08 Tacoma didn't have an AUX Input, but my 08 RAV4, 05 Carolla S, and 10 Corolla S did and they sounded fine.

It's not normal on any of my other Toyotas that I have owned, the AUX input performed flawlessly. What's up with the Tacomas?

My Corollas were both made in the USA. Only the RAV4 was made in Japan. (I get your Humor)

makes sense, now that I think about it. Seems silly that it's just the little 3.5mm jack or some wires that are the problem. It's inside the head unit.

These threads have popped up before I know that. So OP check them out and there are some options like inline boosters that some are using.
