Aux trans cooler question.

I just bough a rectangular tube and fin style trans cooler. Both inlet and outlet are on the same narrow end. They're not marked in or out. Does it matter which line I plug in to which male end? Do I have to mount it with the lines point in a certain direction?

 

I don't think it matters as far as direction the tubes are pointed. Whatever fits yours needs best.

Thank you! I ended up ordering the same cooler as the one in that post. I was told at summit yesterday a plate/fin style is more effective than a tube/fin. Paid $52 and some change for a tube/fin style with no mounting brackets by perma-cool I believe, at summit. Found the one in the post for $49 and some change, shipped from rockauto. No brainer. The gf is going to return the other one this week for me. Thanks for the help.

Mine uses washers instead of custom made spaces and I bypassed the radiator cooler. I used a tru cool 4454. My temps on a 85 degree day are about 130-180.
