Average cost for transmission flush and fill

He should check the owner's maintenance schedule. I suspect it will be the same as Tacomas' - only flush every 60K if it meets the special operating conditions - towing, off-roading, commercial-use. Otherwise, "inspect" the ATF every 60K. Toyota/Lexus does not define "inspect". To some it just means to check the fluid level. To me it means to check the ATF for contamination and replace accordingly. Generally speaking, replace the fluid if it has little or no pink hue. And replace/clean the ATF filter by 150K.

 

There is a guy on Tacoma World who knows people at a transmission shop . I am sure he has forgotten more than most of us know about transmissions .
According to the member , his transmission shop can rebuild an A750F 5 speed or an AC60- 6 speed transmission for $2000
He has some advice to offer . Let me see if I can find him
