Avid bumper guard installed

I may need one then. Moving to Arlington next month.

I have this for the rear:

 

It is not thin wall pipe like most bull bars I have seen. It was built for a purpose and some of us like what it was built for. I was not looking for a winch mount that would require chopping up my front end. This was my tundra that I had for 16 years and if you look at the passenger side of the bumper you can see where I tapped, and I mean ever so lightly tapped a pipe at a gas station. Cheaper for me to take a rattle can and touch up the paint that to replace the cheap ass plastic bumper. Cheaply built, not cheap to replace.

 

still don't think it would be all that strong

 

hahaha the hook on top is a nice touch. Nothing like ripping off someone's bumper who can't parallel park.

 

It'll probably tear up my hitch though...

Its actually very strong. Much stronger than a regular "bull bar." The steel pipe wall diameter is much thicker. I also have mine line-x'd. Very solid construction.

 

How much does the bumper guard weight, at schedule 120 wall thickness thats one hell of a beefy guard. I would be happy with one made from schedule 80.

I know this is an old post, but I just ordered one of these bad boys. I was wondering how did you attach your license plate fram?

Did you have to drill to get your plate on there?

 

Holes are already there for plate.

2019 tacoma trd pro avid front bumper guard I had on two other 3rd gen tacomas ...sturdy and better made than a bull bar ..
