Avital remote start forgot key code after battery swap

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I pulled the battery for a day to top off the cells and recondition it on the optima charger. Now my avital remote start will only crank the truck, no start. It will start however if i hold the key next to the ignition switch and hit the start button on the remote so it lost its key code program some how. Anyone have info on a fix for this?

I am going through the same problem. The12volt.com forums are a great resource.

Find the bypass module under your steering column/dash. Get the model #. Look up the install manual on directechs.com.

There should be instructions on how to reprogram your bypass module.

Lol. Best to take it to a dealer or shop that installs remote start to troubleshoot it then.
