    For love of all that is holy, don't do the whole "pull the positive cable while it's running" bullshit. That is a god way to cook the regulator in the alternator. If the battery isn't around 12.60 vdc in the off position, it is a suspect.

    I never pull the cable when it's running. When it doesn't start all I have to do is pull the cable and put it back on, problem solved.

    Battery measures 12.8 and it's been sitting for 2 hours. It's weird as I was driving it for 30 minutes then turned it off, go to turn it back in within 2 minutes and wouldn't start. Doesn't even struggle at all. Like a total dead battery. Remove positive and reattach, fires right up.

    Took the battery to autozone again, tested fine, again... Might just buy a new battery and say fuck it.

    CHeck with Avid.... he's got some KILLER deals. Also... be careful of overpowering with a winch.... could do more damage than good in a tough spot.
