Stupid error, though ambitious.

Learning to backup into my 1 car garage ... caught my driver mirror on the side in what I thought was "nothing". Turns out this part pictured (lower cover "scallop" on the mirror arm covering the white-electrical cable) had fallen off. Then got run over, holding-on tabs broken. I cried for hours.

Anyone have a spare they do not use because of an "extreme mirror makeover"? Currently packing-taped on so no splashing into the assembly ... monsoon season is about 2 weeks away ...

Edit: 2022 OR, color match mirror body.

 

IIRC the only way to get that piece replaced (mine is broken too) is by buying a whole new mirror assembly. They sell the entire housing and the mirror/glass, and the body matched cover as independent pieces, but they don't break it down beyond that. I think the assembly is ~$250 or so.

 

Thanks for that information. Seems you have not found it worth the investment either. Maybe I will stop by a "second hand parts store " in the valley ...

Very true, but I don’t think a second pivot kit on my truck would help much, and I’m already running the archive hangers . I know someone needs these.

 

anyone know some good dealers in AZ that sell used camper shells/toppers/canopies? looked around on CL quite a bit but can't seem to find what i'm looking for... 2nd gen double cab short bed in silver?

i found a place called toms camperland, but i seem to strike out mostly with search engines nowadays

 

Ask around in the meso puddle light thread. Plenty of people have installed this mod that they should have some laying around.
