I just got a 2007 x-runner and it has bad tires on her. I have been looking for the best tires and don't know which brand and tread would be best. The bad ones are champiro 328 255/45 18
the 3 to pick from are the mich. pilot sport vs. conti extreme contack dws 06 or the bf Goodrich gforce comp 2a/s I have to special order and am stressed as to best for az all weather and not to hydroplane! HELP!

Check out Tirerack.com. In that tire size all three you listed got very good reviews with the BF Goodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S being the best. It's also the cheapest of the three.

The bottom line is that you probably can't go wrong with any of them, they are all great options. Most likely, one is not any better than than the others so search around for the best deal. Sometimes websites have free shipping, instant rebates, or buy 3 get one free sales, look around for the best bargain for your money.

I would try the Continentals. Please post pics when she's done!

Hi, thanks for ideas, I don't know how to post or do forums but trying to learn. I have checked out the tires and the cont.i seems to have too soft a sidewall for road conditions and heat with climate here but the bf,s seem interesting but not much on research for rain or load. I did get a champiro used mounted for $40 so at least on the road again!!! thanks and keep me posted on ideas and I will learn how to put up a picture soon.

The conti extreme contack dws 06 is a great choice. They rave about them on the challenger forums and it will be my choice
    when the chally gets here.

thanks guys I am trying to get her done right the first time as not made of money and so many reviews suck as everyone is trying different ones I am reaching out so thanks lots. Up date as of today Mich. got back with us and gave us some breaking news! They are back into production of tires rated for OUR truck finally! They have stopped production of tires really rated for our trucks in2013 but the new production is scheduled for release to stores for sale in a couple of weeks according to the mitch. tire co. in west Texas rep. gave me the tire numbers that will be for my truck as follow: Mich. Pilot sport AS 3+ 255/45 ZR18 99Y. WOW a lot of little changes to show the ratings that match for our trucks. The only ones out there are old and found out the insurance might not pay off if the age of tires are over 5 yrs old as well the mitch. tends to turn hard and crack up in Phoenix in 5 yrs as I have an 86 Toyota XCab DX Long bed as well with almost 500,000 miles!!! Try finding 14's that don't sound awful or wear out the sidewalls on Her! Hopefully the old ones and the used one I just got will hold up till I can get the new ones!

Oh by the way tirerack only had winter tires for us for a while till the new ones hit the market, and the BF Goodrich is also out of production for 3 years I think. The Mich. rep said the Goodrich one would be older if I could find them the storage but it matters as it is hot out here in the wearhouses and there is a Riken Rapter for our trucks it must have 255/45 18 ZR 99W then all good. Still hunting will let you know. I haven't picked out an avatar yet.

You might want to consider Nitto Motivo. There's been some comparison between the DWS06 and the Motivo. I know someone in the AZ area with access cab that put Motivo on X runner wheels. Just giving you more options...

I was going to get the Motivo, but ending up buying Camaro take offs for my set up because it was cheap and I wanted the size 245/55/18 with my gearing that I am changing to. I'll be selling the 2015 camaro wheels for cheap soon.

    Cams, Crankshaft, everything
Nittos are great. I have had several brands, Good Years, Nittos, Potenza, and Falkens. Nittos are my favorites.
