That's a good point, nDub. I'll definitely bring that up!

Wow, this is a revelation! Didn't realize the vinyl would come off so easily. I think it looks cheap personally, so I'm going to remove mine as well.

Question: Does it run under any of the rubber window trim/gasket? I don't want to start and end up with a mess....

Look closely for trash in the paint .. It was probably a transportation damage /lot damage truck . When a vehicle is damaged on delivery or say a door at the dealership was opened into another vehicle they are repaired. That is usually where there's a problem with a "brand new vehicle " . As long as the repairs stay under a certain amount it is not required to be disclosed. The color will not match if it is too close to another panel and the color is blended into the next panel then cleared. They wouldn't forget at the factory.

It's not hard to apply .. If you have practice . We do it all the time in a body shop.. I personally like it and since the part is cheap if the get messed up I'll replace it . Looks good with window tint.

This vid gives you the basics. Only thing I would add, is do it with the windows down. It comes out from under the gasket easier.

Mine got discolored due to some crap my kids hand on their hands (not sure what exactly). Like the previous poster with his kids and sunscreen. Nothing I used would fix it so I just puled mine off. Was really simple, left the truck in the Florida heat for about 15 minutes and got to tugging.

I like it way better without the vinyl. Looks cleaner IMO.

I am probably in the minority, but I kinda like the Vinyl on the doors as to help protect from scratches.

Took me a few days, but I took the truck into Toyota and asked why they weren't applied on both sides and they told me they have no record of the doors being replaced and that it had to be an error at the factory. Which is what I expected them to say... None the less, they added the vinyl to the passenger side. It's just uneven enough to get on my nerves but otherwise, it does the job. Posting some updated pictures.

Forgot it in the factory. That’s wild...

Look up some pics of the trucks with mismatched flares for a similar laugh.

Indeed...for the longest time I'm wondering, wtf is with this vinyl talk?

When I put my truck in the wind tunnel and saw all the power-robbing vortices coming off the vinyl, I knew it had to go. It's not about the looks, it's all about performance.

Who’s got an inferno before and after the vinyl is removed? I may be the first to post pictures from the looks of it...if I have the balls to do it this weekend!

My sig has the vinyl on still (barely can be seen though). Currently, my truck has been completely debadged (TRD stickers, pilar vinyl, and all chrome badges). I like the look much better, just haven't gotten around to taking any pictures for here yet.
