Im thinking along a stormtrooper gonna stay with a simple 3" lift. It's my farm truck for work so just enough lift and tire to get over a few ditches

I got it for under just 8000 and put in about 4000 into it, I had to replace the motor pics coming soon

Original motor had to come out because the pervious owner thru a rod out the side of the block

Once the motor was in I welded in the new core support

    Hood and lights getting aligned

She is all done with the FJ TRD wheels I got a 3" lift in box to put on but it's a spacer lift.. Are these lifts really that bad for easy driving? I don't hit trails or anything just go thru a few rough places when I go fishing but reading reviews has me a little worried on it

The lift isnt bad as long as you dont wheel it that hard, but the ride quality of them is terrible. Its gunna drive like a brick. I had a 3" rough country on my old taco and i hated it.

Ya I got the pro comp lift gonna try it out and see how it goes.... If I would have known about this site before I got it I would have gone with the 5100's and aal. I have a friend that owns a body shop so I got all the parts for about 1500 included the lift and FJ wheels, the engine ran me 2500 and the rest is all little stuff that adds up

Ya it's the nitro level lift kit... The biggest tire size I would do is 33's and this should clear it with the correct backspacing I believe.

I did a little research and found out the FJ wheels are 4.5 backspacing can anyone confirm this.... I got the wheels with tires on it so I didn't measure it

I have 4.5" BS on my wheels and am able to run a 285/75/16. Almost a 33. There is some rubbing tho. I am going to cut out the buckets in the bottom of the front fender well as well as the rear fender flare and do the cab mount chop. They rub if i am turned and cycle the suspension at all. They are tight.

that lift will ride great! you shouldn't notice any change, as it is a top plate spacer, not an in coil spacer.

Only question I have really is my rear shock still good? I mean it's only a 1" block thinking of going with a 2" block just cause I do pull trailers and haul stuff, don't want the Cali lean lol

that's what i'm running and it works good, no problems.

my friend had a 2011 with a 2'' block, stock shocks and they worked fine too.

you could put in a progressive add a leaf for a nice ride, and better towing/payload
