    :)

Just wanted to introduce myself. Rob from Southern Colorado. Just purchased a new 2014 Tacoma. After driving a Toyota truck for most of my life, 7 years ago I had to switch to a car. Woke up this morning and traded the car in on a new Tacoma!!

Hi forum! Thanks for the warm welcome! Sorry I have been away for a bit. So the new Taco got hit by a hit and run driver on the interstate. Less than 2K on the truck odometer!

I had some other desires for my new Taco so I am trading her back in! Talk about a kick in the nuts. But at least I'll get exactly what I want. Should pick it up Monday and then strait to the detailer to put on sealant and clear bra (expel).

Then I'll be looking for a good set of sliders/nurf bars. I really want the product to attach to the frame. I don't wheel all that hard and this is as much for door dings as anything else. Any thoughts?

Welcome back! And welcome to tw!

I'd say go with sliders. A little higher thannurf bars, but will protect way better thsn nurfs.

Thanks for the recommendation. That is about where I was just simply for strength but then I thought the nerfs stick out a bit more. No? I just want the best possible protection from door dings. People are so inconsiderate these days! I got the truck back from body and parked it for a week; I will pick up my new Taco up on Monday. Took Dad to Home Depot yesterday and came out and someone had parked me in!! I could hardly get my door open far enough to slide in and I am not that FAT! LOL

As for sliders I am down to SOS Concepts (without kick out, I think), Demello or Stubbs (maybe too long for my taste). Then I found Shockworks where they are a simple bolt on. With grade 8 hardware I would guess those are enough to lift the truck with.

Do you really think sliders will provide greater (not stronger) protection than a nerf bar?
