I think the hammock styles do a better job of keeping the entire back area clean but the seat cover style looks better without all the extra straps to keep it in place. @Riotfunk and @Tacospike have you noticed wear on the rear seat back cushions from being folded down all the time and having your dogs weight on top of them?

After probably 4 years being down, no visible or physical wear.

Same. I clean my truck out weekly because thats how I like it lol.

At least this isn't the jeep wrangler forums because jeep wrangler interiors are always nasty. I've detailed a ton of wranglers/gladiators over the past couple years and the interior quality from the factory is terrible.

Mazda makes the worst carpets on earth. don't buy a mazda.

+1 for the hammock style. Got mine off Amazon, contains the dogs and the hair, and easy cleanup afterwards. Small enough to store it behind the seats

I don't fold the seats down, it would pretty uncomfortable for the boys.

    Nothing yet, lift coming soon!
Lots of great options here! Thank you for the ideas! I have put in the husky back floor mats so I am not worried about the carpet, thinking that a seat cover might work best for keeping it in there long term and not looking crazy. I love the hammock style for the protection of the sides and keeping the monster out of the front, but I think having all the things hanging off the sides would drive me nuts.

I am thinking that the seat cover will be the way, but will have to keep the beast off of the doors, which will be difficult...
