When it was sprayed especially recently, only hummer will tell the truth.

    Wha?
I would be putting a deposit before traveling to see it. What should I do to make sure?

I would ask very concrete questions about details including amount of rust inside the frame, metal condition and such. If you find any of the answer not truth you will have a ground of at least getting deposit back. Of course if answers are good enough to make the trip.

By looking at the state of bolts and nuts you can easy say, that the truck got acquainted with rust, but under such thick layer of muddy goo on the frame it is hard to tell how good it is without "kicking the tire" (or ringing a hammer in that case).

Judging from what you see? Pass or?

Also what should I ask for specifically?

Look at the bolts sticking through the bottom of the cab. They look pretty rusty. Personally I'd pass. There is probably allot of shit you cant see that worse then the stuff you CAN see.

It looks like it was sprayed/painted over whatever rust was there, looks like there's some rust-like looking texture underneath the paint. I don't see anything terrible though, doesn't look like any covered up perforations or anything.

    Was it sprayed/coated by Toyota?

Not not at all. I want the truth. What I meant to say was I thought I had found, "the one".

Where are you located? If you're willing to travel, look in the southwest. No rust issues out here

    Too few to list.
Doesn't look that bad though a still tap certain areas with a ball peen hammer. Looks like there's some scaling but nothing major.
