backfire and gear engages itself

    Ok so I get a backfire on cold startups, is this normal? Do I finally need to get a urd maf calibrator to adjust air/fuel?

    Its a 4 banger*

    Secondly on cold start ups I can engage first (didn't try second) gear without the use of my clutch, it just falls right into gear when I move the shifter? Is that normal at all?

    Can't help you with the backfire-

    Slipping the truck into gear is not normal perse...but it's not bad. Just happens to be that everything lines up and it slides in.

    Yea, technically you don't need a clutch at all if you hit every shift point perfect... Though it's abnormal to hit it on first...
