Just finished mine, came out great. I did sand the plexi, it makes for a better light. I spray painted the sides and rear pieces of plexi black, it kept all the light coming through the logo. I also light up the scoop with 2 light strips and i put plexi behind the screen. only issue is I had to wait 4 weeks for the light, from china. I'll send pics when I can.

Aw hell, I just lit up the entire grill. :D

...but I have thought about maybe adding some LEDs behind the logo for a little more light.

You got me thinking about doing something creative now. Great mod!

What if you installed a dimmer switch so that you could vary the intensity?

I've thought about varying the intensity. There are a few ways I could do it with the existing setup I have.

Oh...those are some OLD pictures

Here are a couple with more LED strips and silver paint on the AC condenser to give a bit more reflectivity. :D

doesn't the light need some kind of protection from rain?

It seems to be relatively safe under the hood there

GREAT idea. Probably gonna be doing something similar myself. I do have one question though. How hard do you think it would be to wire the led in conjunction with the factory amber running lights?

I just tapped into the running light circuit where the wires run into the headlight assemblies. I'll probably run a separate circuit eventually, but that's a really easy way to do it.
