Backup Camera Adapter for A/M Head Unit

I have a Pumpkin Android head unit to go into a 2014 TRD Sport. The head unit has a RCA plug and a reverse-in wire. The factory head unit has a plug in it with 4 wires, 6V for camera power and another for camera display, as shown in this post.

How can I connect the factory camera to the Android head unit? Is there an adapter etc?

Good luck with that. Lol. Just depin the 4 wires at the connector and run them independent of a plug. Just send 12 volts power, and any ground to the back up cam and splice in a standard AV cable to the other remaining 2 wires.

It will work. I promise you it will.

 

Is it 12V or 6V? Another post suggested 6V.

If you can find something cheaper let me know. I didnt want to run a new camera and cable. Plus what does a new back up camera cost?

It's been replaced with a newer model.

 

How flawless is stuff?

 

I like mine. Only issues I have is the volume knob stops working to control the volume on occasion. There's a shortcut on the screen for volume or I just use my SW control. Also the physical BACK button may take 2 presses to go back for some reason. Internal storage is <1GB so not much room for apps unless you move to a SD card. But when you update, it moves back to internal storage. I don't have many apps anyway. I use MX player, Spotify, YouTube, GasBuddy, Fuelio, WeatherUnderground widgets, a speedo widget, Google Maps, Chrome, EX File Explorer, PowerAmp. That's about it.

Are there any online instructions or experienced hands here for the beat sonic adaptor install? I have a 2015 Base Tacoma that was prewired but I purchased an aftermarket Pioneer head unit. I'd like to do a walk through before installing.
