Thank you for the reply, I wasn't sure and couldn't find the info on which type they were.
Do you or anyone else know if they make a SPDT/OEM type of switch.

I havent seen any oem style SPDT, but that doesnt mean they dont exist. All i have seen are a simple on-off latching push button.

Likewise, I've only seen On/Off SPST OEM switch styles.

Digikey.com has round rocker switches in about 20-22mm diameter in SPDT and DPDT formats.

So which 12V did you use for the reverse mod? I'm not going to use any lighted switch (I think the screen should be obvious :p). I'm sure I could find a 12V but it would sweet if I didn't have to go stabbing wires to find one I need. As well as sticking to that same wire bundle so I don't have to cut any factory stuff.

@erok81 Actually I've not performed the mod yet simply because I wasn't pleased with the initial couple of spots I was considering. The interior panels are a bit too expensive to be cutting holes into until I'm fully happy with where I'll put the switches. :)

Got it. I'm doing Saturday so we'll see.

I'm planning on installing my two switches (most likely some low profile round ones) above the wireless charger thing. Worst case if I sell it and remove the switches no one will notice unless they feel around up there. o_O

Yep, that's where I may end up. Careful with the passenger side knee airbag. I believe that and the glove box have to come out to get to the switch panel and cubby roof. I may be wrong, but that's what the FSM seems to say.

Oh well that kind of sucks. Maybe I need to find another spot. Seemed like such a good idea at first.

I would recommend the harness from seller on this forum.

You can do the install without splicing or cutting any factory wiring.

    FYI
Pin 1 is 12v Acc. in 28 pin wire harness. Use DMM to verify.

yep, I mentioned that earlier. FSM lists it as IG and seems to indicate it signals ignition on. Should be fine to use for signalling purposes such as the backup cam mod but I would not draw power from it for anything.

Also if you pull ADPG low, you will activate A/V option on HU.

Got the Backup Cam switch from jshsltr.
Used a toggle switch with orange cover for NAV mod.

So there is no where to put these switches. I might just break down and use the cubby.

I had a few ideas. Tore my truck apart. None of the ideas worked.

On the bright side. If you take out enough to remove the ac control thing and use an angled drill. You might be able to drill and install in the charging cubby thing. You can access the top of it if you remove those few pieces. I'm just worried my angles drill can't get in there. We'll see tomorrow.

Yep, I had the same experience. All my great ideas evaporated with some exploration.

Look into removing the center console piece and maybe you can get in from below.

Also -- check Partznet.com for replacement cost for various panels. the lower center console panel that goes to each side of the cubby is not too bad Same for the steering wheel shroud and the driver knee panel.

Your picture for step 6 still isn't showing for me. I just want to make sure that I don't cut into the wrong wire.
