    Hi guys,
I am new to the board but I am hoping you guys can offer me some help. Two days ago I was driving my truck home from work and the engine light came on and all the sudden my truck misfired for like 2 seconds. The light went off and everything was all good again.. so weird. I figured the spark plugs needed to be replaced so I changed them all, test drove it, and it ran really smooth.

Next morning I leave my house, drive about 5 blocks, the engine light comes on, and all the sudden my truck completely dies instantly. It was as if the electrical just all the sudden went dead. Anyways, I tried to crank it over and it sounded fine except it never fired up.

I was able to grab a code reader and it won't even shoot me over a code. It just keeps cycling and saying "READ" "ERROR" "READ" "ERROR"

I am thinking maybe the computer died? Any ideas?

    By the way, I have a 03' PreRunner SR5 V6 3.4L

    Thanks!

Hey man. Yeah I eventually did find out what the problem was. Very very strange but simple solution. The ground wire actually fell off the computer

I had checked out so many things however I guess I failed to check that. Took it to Toyota, they looked at it for like a day and then realized the wire fell off. $98 later and she is running smooth again as ever.

I hope your situation is that simple however it sounds like they probably would have already checked that out.

    Check all your grounds.

Also make the battery has 2 grounds. 1 for the body and 1 for frame at the very least.

Would a Mega squite Computer be cheaper?
