My check enging light came on and my dealer says I need 2 new converters to the tune of 2 grand. Anyone have experience with aftermarket converters? Do they cause problems? Do they increase Mileage? Thanks John

site suggestions? The least expensive thing would be to get some oxygen sensors and depending on your state laws cut out the cats. You wont see any mileage increase either way, and after market cats are not made as well as OEM so its you may have problems again.

EDIT: Oxygen simulators not sensors my bad

ok then the simulator would definitly help ya out there, that is the code it is meant to clear. the cheaper route would be to get some aftermarket cats or hit up a junkyard and the simulator for good measure but its really up to you and state law to guess.
