Hey TW, she’s a ‘00 2.4 5 lug on 235/75r15 and I’ve had the fabtech spindles on her for a few months, trying to get the AAL in soon.

That was just for context.. Here’s my issue:

So when I turn left the right tire rubs a lot. But when I turn right the tires don’t rub at all. Ive noticed when I turn left the whole cab pitches right pretty noticeably. The other side doesn’t do it turning right. I’m thinking either the shock or the coil on the right side is worn, but I’m not sure which.. maybe it’s something else altogether lol

Curious to see what you guys think. Accepting all $0.02

P.S. when I brake real hard sometimes my steering wheel turns to the left, even with new calipers and hoses. Starting to think these issue should might be related..

Did you get a proer alignment done after. And if the truck pulls left that usally means you have a problem with the right side, although it might because by bad suspension parts

Idk if all trucks are like this but my RF wheels is closer to the fire wall then my LF well but my alignment is spot on with no pulling. My suspension is still all good.

Alignment was done, I even got the printout to verify the job. Truck drives straight but when I’m braking hard it veers to the left as I come to a stop.

Trying to imagine what’s going on. Tell me if this makes any sense...
Since right coil (or shock?) is weak, more weight goes that way during braking and is harder to bring to a stop.. since the right side keeps going a little more than the left, the car turns left?

    What kind of wheels?

Both front calipers? All mounting hardware cleaned and lubed? All properly bled?

Guessing rebuilt calipers? Sometimes they are bad out of the box.

When you break hard does the front right dip excessively? That could mean suspension

When you did break work did you make sure to clean the rotors? Did you bead them in properly? Are you sure no lince are damaged?

Right side does dip noticeably if I brake hard when I pull into a parking spot, if that makes sense. Truck rocks back and forth once when I do this. I was thinking suspension but I’m not sure if a worn coil or shock would cause this..

Regarding brakes. They are rebuilt. Apart from checking to see that they slid on the slide pins unlike my old calipers, i didn’t check em. I cleaned off the rotors and pads when they went on. Bled em when I did the work but maybe it wouldnt hurt to try again. Apart from the flexible hoses, the brake lines are metal?

If any of the lines were pinched it can cause un even breaking.

But it could just be the suspension. I would pull the shock and see if its still good. Also do you have un even tire wear or lots of bouncing of the wheel?

If you have a very noticeable dip to the FR I would probably just replace the coil and shocks up front and see if that corrects it

Got new wheels and tires 4K miles back. Only had the truck for 10k but the old tires up front showed a lot of uneven wear on inside edge of driver side tire and outside edge of passenger.

When I pull the shock, how will I know if it’s still good?
Thinking might as well throw v6 coils in there if the coils are bad...

Wallet tells me I can only address coils or shocks right now... any way to tell which needs attention first?

Usally body roll, bad ride quality extreme dipping under breaking or or accelerating are all signs of bad coils and or shocks

Update: so this weekend I aal to leaf packs. This fixed the braking problem. I am amazed haha

Update 2: think having the back of the truck jacked up moved around some air in the brake system, the next day, the brakes were acting crazy. Think Bill was on the nose about bleeding. Will get that done in a few days and update.
