I got into a wreck about a year ago in which someone slammed into the back of me and destroyed my back end, as seen in the picture.

Now to the purpose of this rant, i just realized that the body shop that fixed my truck did NOT put "TACOMA SR5" back on the tailgate, as seen in the picture also.

I was wondering, where could I find the original badges found on the tailgate?

Did you call the body shop and say What the heck? Where are my badges?

If that doesn't work my next try would be the stealer to see what they have to offer and how much, then hit some of the places mentioned on the forum. All else fails you could contact a local sign shop although they'd most likely be flat instead of the domed effect.

(I don't do domed stuff as it's not a big seller so I didn't bother purchasing a kit but you could call around to your local places if you really want the badges).

    Best of luck,

The body shop screwed up alot of other things too and we didn't realize it until later and of course insurance wouldn't fix their mistakes. It still runs great so i'm not complaining too much but I appreciate the help!

Might be debadging my GF's 03 in which case I'd have the badges for sale. Other option is put a 'WTB: 1st gen Badges' add in the B/S/T area of the forum.

What else did they screw up?
Also I have an old tailgate that has the TOYOTA and TACOMA badges on it still...I can give them to you if you pay shipping. No SR5 though because my old taco didn't have the SR5 package.

in the wreck the bed slammed into the cab and there were two dents, one on each side of the cab. they had to pull those out and repainted the back half of the cab and did not even come close to matching the paint AND they must have used a sandpaper pad instead of a buffer pad because there are all kinds of scratches under the windows on the back half of the cab. If i have pics ill post them
