Ok, I've heard of people putting the TRD badges/decals on the back quarter panels when they really aren't one. My question is what else accompanies the TRD decals on the tailgate? I've got a 2011 TRD sport and I just have the V6 badge on the lower right of the tailgate. I passed a supposed TRD Off Road with both a V6 and a SR5 badge. Is that combination right? Or was the decal just added.

My 2010 TRD Sport DBL cab 4x4 has a V6 and SR5 badge on the right side of the tailgate. I think I heard they stopped putting the SR5 badge on trucks with the TRD package (Sport or Off Road) for 2011. Not sure why - if you have either of the TRD packages then you also have everything the SR5 package has as well. Nice looking truck - got a black one that looks just like it.

SR5 was on ther up until 2011, it's because if you have a TRD you have an SR5, so on a TRD the SR5 doesn't mean anything because we already have TRDs..

Someone elaborate more for me I'm too lazy

I remember someone around here mentioning that the SR5 stands for Sport Rally 5 (speed)...but I personally have a 6 speed... So it doesn't really work

    SR5 began in the early 80's as a upgraded Corolla model (I had a '82 Corolla SR5).

    I believe the S= Sport ..... R=Ralley ..... 5= 5 speed transmission.

Of course it has morphed into a higher level trim which now includes the AT.
