I would assume that a 2” kit would have less sway, and less body roll. I can’t speak from experience though, as I’ve never ridden in a truck with any 2” kit though.

One friend of mine has a 2” LT kit, and an archive garage SUA kit, pretty matched performance, and he goes around with a tent on the bed, slow and fast. Probably 12-13” travel all around?

But I believe he takes it off for more dedicated high speed whoops and stuff like that.

That's basically what I'm looking for. Probably gonna go +2 in the front with a 63 spring swap in the back over time.

So basically the bajakit +2 is just a “wider uca and lca”? Using a regular travel coilover?

It really depends on what you like to do with your truck. Every kit/build has an application or purpose. I do agree though, without having too much info on the “LT” kit that used OE shock, that sounds like a half assed way to do it.

Unless they have just made the geometry work and the shock location is set in able to do so. It just seems like you’re going to loose travel.

It's not a half assed way to do it. Not everyone can afford to buy a $3000 kit and have extra cash for $1800 shocks. you obviously wont get the same travel #'s with a OEM King tht you'd get with a custom spec 8" Coilover. but it's a great option for anyone who wants to piece together a LT set up. it performs well, you still have kings, you can sell old shocks later on and purchase 8" coilovers

You at least need Extended travel OEM coilovers

I went and read their website on break at work. I agree with you. It’s great to have the option of running the OE shocks. You also have to modify the shock to make it work. I like having options.

12-13” isn’t going to happen up front with a +2. Still probably a great improvement all the same.

Yep, small easy adjustments that'll take no more than an hour with the right tools.

I just saw that truck at Rock Therapy. Here is my $0.02.

Just buy once/ cry once. I would do a +3.5 kit and a DMZ SUA kit for the rear. I am not sure why everyone is afraid of fiberglass. If you take your time with the install, it will turn out awesome. Usually people with +2 kits murder their fenders anyway in order to fit 35's. Have a low profile bed cage made so you can still pack camping stuff/ sheets of plywood/ washers & Dryers in the bed.

I made a tent rack that bolts to my bed cage and also to the bed. I don't trust supporting the tent by my glass bedsides.

I use my truck for all sorts of stuff. It is pretty versatile. Its not a full rock crawler, or pre runner. Its a nice blend of both. I am waiting on some pics of Steel bender from this past weekend at rock therapy. For this thing only having 33's and 4:56 gears, it is a tractor. Even though it squats down a lot, it has so much articulation that I can usually find my way up obstacles.

Thanks for the input. For me, it's not so much a fear of fiberglass, which I love the look of, its more just the ever snowballing list of shit if you want to "do it right" with a +3.5 kit. I've got my truck pretty well set the way I like it, so I don't want to take the time and expense to redo a lot of stuff. Just looking for a little more damping for when I do stupid stuff like accidentally sending my truck off a couple foot stepdown in the Wendover desert by accident...not that I've done that in the last 2 weeks or anything...:anonymous:
