I just bought a used fender from a junkyard and it was shipped to me, but it came with a giant area of super baked on glue of some sort, looks like packaging tape. I tried a bit of rubbing alcohol but it won't even budge, it might even be stuck on to the actual paint. I can try and post photos tomorrow, but in the mean time do you guys have any tips? I have not tried goof off or goo gone because I am afraid they will ruin the clear coat, same with nail polish remover. Maybe a professional detailer is needed?

Rub a high enough percent alcohol on the clear coat long enough and it will damage it. The auto parts stores sell an aerosol spray by 3M Adhesive Remover. You kind of want to spray enough on the rag and hold it for a while many times to soften the dried adhesive. Take small bites out of it at a time and it will clean it up.

One of the goof/goo is similar to the 3M, the other isn't safe can't remember which.

Update for the thousands of you that saw this; I took the fender to carwash and paid 20 bucks for them to take it off, looks brand new.
