Has anyone ever fit a Mountain bike on a 5' short bed with a Bakflip fold cover without leaving it folded all the way up while driving?

I have the roll up version (Revolver), and without taking the front wheel off my single speed road bike won't fit.

    Your options are likely...

    1) Fold one section up and stick the front wheel up and beyond the cover.

    2) Take the front wheel off and stack it on your frame, carefully (put a towel between each).

    3) Get a bike rack. I have one for my hitch. Works great!

I was contemplating building a bracket that bolted through the factory bakflip mx4 bolts that rested on top of the cover with fork mounts. then you could mount the bike above a fully closed cover. Never ended up doing it but a simple piece of steel flat bar across the front with the fork mounts outta do it, just need to figure out a way to secure the back wheel, maybe just a bunjee.
