So, I used the search bar and couldn't come up with any hits on this matter in specific. So here I am with a RTT, sliders, a bunch of gear and the incorrect lift for my truck. When I originally lifted, I honestly had no idea that a tent would be in my near future so I just went with what I thought would be a decent setup for my mild wheeling needs. Well, here I am 6 months later and getting ready for an overlanding trip thru Utah! Who knew, lol!
Anyways, now that I've loaded the tent a couple of times, I'm realizing that my progressive AAL (with overload left in) is insufficient. Now, I do plan on getting dakars in the future but I'm like 3-4 months away from being able to swing them financially. Mostly due to requiring the extended length shocks to do it properly. So my question is, has anyone added a single AAL to a progressive pack? If so, did their truck burst into flames upon touching the ground? I know this setup isnt a long term solution, I just need a little more support and lift for the rear with the tent and supplies. All info would be greatly appreciated.
