Thanks! ok, thanks for your experience..I stocked up on the paint as I'm sure I'll be doing my fair share of touch-ups! Maybe plan on just repainting the whole thing in the spring. I love your kick-ups but it wasn't an option for my DC..

Today I tightened the shit outta the bolts and did a Hi-lift test. I saw about 1/4" - 3/8" deflection. They did contact the pinch weld slightly in 2 spots on each side but didn't bend or damage it at all. (sorry no pics)

If they flex and touch the pin held with the high lift. The first time you drop it real good you going to dent the pinchweld. If its just the legs that contact it I would notch them out and paint them to prevent rust from when you bend them.

they'r standard, so I guess 20* .... 10* would be better as a step and would stick out just a bit more

yea its just the legs, two spots on each side, notching would be easy enough...

    definatly worth doing.
My sliders are pretty low. with the high lift they don't come close to touching the pinch weld. In the spots where they hit chipped a long way.

So I picked up a used set of BAMF sliders from another member on here who told me they will work for my truck (2010 DCSB 4x4), however; when I went to mock them up yesterday, it doesn't seem to match up very well and looks different than every other picture I've seen. Are these even the right sliders for my truck? Which end does the inner kick in go to, thinking the rear but not sure?

Thread revival, but just wanted to give OP props for the DIY post. Just picked up my sliders for my 08 DCLB yesterday from @JLee and followed your instructions and they came out looking pretty good. Used same primer and black textured paint. Since my sliders are 96" I went through almost 5 cans. Letting them sit till the weekend to install. Thanks again OP0338B677-429E-472C-B4C1-80083A9EF3D1.jpg
