    A36 steel is a hot rolled steel used mainly in construction work not for targets or armor plating. This would not be able to with stand most rifle calibers but does stand up to the majority of handgun rounds.

    I was just stirring the pot. I have targets made of AR500 for the range. :)

    Got it no hot home loads from the larger caliber handguns. Fair enough.

    If you do this I will shoot at my truck, but not before parking it correctly and doing a few math problems to deal with the ricochet. :D -Jon

    I was lucky enough to help Jerry (watch Jerry LOL) test fit a skid to my truck. I can attest to their beef. Put it to the test at slick rock. Couple of good hits and nothin but a scratch or two. If you're gonna wheel your shit, this is a good investment!

    Just ordered mine. Was a bit worried about the weight since I am running a 2.7, but then I figured that it is less than an extra person riding along :thumbsup:
    Wondering if the oil drain hole is in the same location for my engine as the 4.0? Might have to cut a new access hole if not.

    I have not set fitted the 2.7L so I'm not sure if the drain is in the same location. If any of the local guys have a 2.7 when they pick up I'll confirm then.

    Took a couple of measurements and pictures to reference where the drain plug is on the 2.7 models. Used the crossmember and transfer case flange as reference points. About 3-1/4" in front of the crossmember and not quite 5" over to the side from the flange.
    Wish I could find my good camera . . . . .
