Looking for some ideas on how/where to mount my HAM and mic add on in the truck.

I have a few Scosche Mag Mounts but they just don't seem to be cutting it for the radio.

Looking for how others have their handhelds. Trying to avoid drilling or adding any ungodly ugly mounting brackets on the dash.

Here are some pics of what I'm dealing with. You can see the two mounts but I typically use those for my SPOT device and the gf's cell phone.

    Thanks in advance

I used a Baofeng before I mounted a full mobile rig in the truck. I used a mag mount antenna and adapter and just put the radio in the center console with the speaker mic hanging out.

I have a mobile 25w. I upgraded from the UV5R as well. The extra wattage is very noticeable.

I got lucky and the included mounting bracket bolted right in place of my ash tray bracket.

Yea I have thought about that. I have this thing about accessories moving around in the truck either on the trail or just going down the road. If something isn't secured or is squeaking I will not rest until it's resolved. lol

Guess it's the former military in me...

Its an Expedition Essentials mic holder attached to a Ram Mount diamond ball base and a Ram Mount double socket arm. You can piece it together or Runnin4Tacos has a kit you can buy now.

I have an Expedition Essentials TPAM with a RAM mount and Hondo Garage Perfect Squeeze to hold the radio. Expensive solution compared to the mount above, but it will hold the thing solidly over whatever terrain you want. It is solid.
