Just found this thread. Keep the truck...the vermont tagging was pretty ingenious. Interested to see what you come up with for this truck!

Thanks! Check out my other DD PreRunner 4x4 build thread, I have the 3rd Gen TRD OR wheels on it. They look a lot better on 1st gens, IMO.

Pick that truck up man! If the frame is still good, those trucks are getting rarer and rarer by the second.

Originally I was going to make a trailer out of the bed by chopping it off at the frame under the cab, but I would feel way too bad doing that to this truck. It deserved a second chance.

I have actually done a considerable amount of work on it, I have just neglected to update this thread.

It has a new bed! I just have to weld back the bedsides. I also picked up a new instrument cluster.

My goal is to have this painted by November, and sold before the Vermont tags runout in July 2019.

I’m only in about $1k including getting it legal with the Vermont tags and everything. I have that in parts alone so I’m not too worried about it.

As long as I break even I’ll be happy.

Nice thing about having an almost identical truck to yours is you get to use it as a Guinea Pig to mock up your other projects.

Here’s how Eight Cadillac horns sound like all together! Shameless plug for my company American Auto Horns linked below in my signature.

Today, I sold the 5-lug. Take care of it, @se7enine.

Onto its next chapter of life.

Yeah, me too. Ended up not having the time or money to make my dream for it a reality. One day I’ll own another one, but now isn’t the time. I hated seeing it sit, so I’m happy it’s going to be used.
