Looking for ideas on where to mount an amplifier level knob. I’m wanting to mount it in one of the blank switches below the climate control area in the center console. Somewhere that the passenger can reach also. Any thoughts and pictures would be great.

Should be easily doable. I am not sure what model that remote is???

I have a JL Audio RLC-200 I will be installing shortly so I will give my 2 cents based on that. If the control box behind the knob is smaller than the switch plate, it will fit fine. Mine came with specific instruction to install and it includes:
    • pulling the knob off
    • unscrewing the attached nut/washer from the around knob stem
    • Drilling a hole through the plate big enough to slide the stem through
    • Once the stem is through, reinstall the washer nut and reattach the knob.
    • Pop the switch plate back in place and run the wiring accordingly.
There should be instructions that indicate the hole size to drill and the maximum panel thickness that works for your specific knob. If not, its a pretty easy measurement.

Its not that hard... so go for it. Not a big consequence if you mess it up. A new switch plate is maybe a few bucks.

I believe my gain control knob is an alpine one and I mounted on the left side of the pocket for the parking brake (I have a manual). This won’t be a good spot if you want your passenger to be able to adjust it but it hides it nicely while still being easy to reach and adjust.

I have mine wedged inbetween the drivers seat and center council. For me it was easy access and not visual.

I trimmed the empty switch with a box knife and took the knob out of its housing just to make it fit easier. It’s a JL Audio HD-RLC. My amp is really a marine amp.

I tried to mount mine in one of those blank switches below the HVAC panel but it was too much trouble for me to get my hands back there to route the wiring so I said F it and just 3m taped it down by my right knee on the side of the center console.

I put a coat hanger wire from the switch side toward right side of console and it was super easy. Then pulled cable up and plugged it into the control knob.
