@eherlihy Gotcha. So, why didnt you get a non-marine 27? For $30 more, you get 810 cca, vs 740 mca. You also get a 5 yr warranty, vs 1. Even a 24F has 750 cca at $94. It will weigh less and also has the 5 yr warranty.

I’m rocking an Oreilly 27f. I’ve ran these batteries in most of my vehicles. Some of the highest ratings and best priced compared to others. Although I might switch to the odyssey brand in the future after seeing the type of abuse they handle on the patrol cars and still perform.

I just bought a 24f everstart for $94 from Walmart. If the 24f is good enough for the new 3rd gen and other trucks, then its good enough for my truck.

    Two items:
Group 27F Not that hard to find. Plenty in stock at Car Quest locations. The rule of Walmart: If you need something very badly, they won't have it in stock. Shop elsewhere.

Item 2: Use Vaseline with confidence. Been doing it for a long long time, you will have nice clean terminals all winter long. Use it on my truck, has over 300,000 miles, and my tractor, age 37.
