Has anyone ever shallow drilled and tapped into the center of their top posts to add additional connection points?

Stock - built correct from the start.
All my vehicles I add one wire from battery to a buss bar under the hood to run accessories to. Keep multiple connection off the battery.

Drilling and taping into lead I would wonder if the threads would strip before things were tight enough for a good connection.

    So many other better ways
