    nevermind i got a set of hinges off of a 97 runner i think i can use to make my own quick releases for the tube doors

    thats what im finding. ive spent several hours and about 40 bucks trying to rig some up only to find that the plastic bushings in the hinges are so jacked up that its almost a lost cause to try and make my own. ill probably cut the slot in the top holes on my stock set so ill only have to completely remove the bottom bolts and loosen the tops, if that makes any sense.

    What I did was ditch the bushings. I drilled out all hinges to a larger size that fit the pins that I bought very tightly. I keep my pins lubed well and have no noises. I keep the male end of the hinges mounted on the tube doors and normal doors. Female end stays bolted to truck. Pita, took alot of time, but it works really well on u have it all figured out. If ur in moab this year for rock therapy I'll have them on

    They were just a hair bigger diameter then the stock holes in the hinges. If I remember tonight I'll take some pics of them to show u

    they are only made to work up to the 2000 model.
