Ok so here's some tech for a few folks asking how this thing was built. This the frame plate I designed and built. First step was to completely rid the frame of all ifs components. Both inside and out. I did so with a hypertherm 30 plasma. I am good with the plasma but not good enough To not gouge or blow threw in few spots. So after I ground all the frame flat. I tack welded up all the low spots and the areas I had poked thru. I also went threw and patched and plug welded all the factory holes. I knew I had frame plates going on and didn't want to have a edge land on a factory hole. The plates are 10 Ga pickled and oiled 1018 steel. I used 10 ga because the factory frame is also 10 ga which measures out to .134 which is a tad thicker then 1/8". So combined my new outer frame rail is .268 slightly thicker then 1/4". Which combined with the fully boxed frame the shock tower and future potential of a engine cage I felt it was more then enough. I also designed the edges of these plates to have "steps" as to break up a full 48" long weld and so I could weld in sequences keeping the factory frame from pretzeling.

I do make these in house and per order
I was thinking about offering them as a kit. Both in 1/8" and 3/16". All Cnc cut The driver side includes the steering box mount and machined sleeves. I need to make a few tweaks so they can be a bit more universal. If you're interested shot me a message.

Quick question. Are those plates fully welded on? Looks like it in this picture but I don't see any welds around the circle

The circle is where the shock hoop will mount. I fabricated all the parts then weld out. The shock hoop and gussets are on the bench now getting tig welded together then I'll weld them to the frame.

Yeah that's one way to do it. Others just send a piece down to the frame/crossmember

Both sides of the shock hoop
Have large .25" plate gussets that span the width of the frame.
