Lots of arc time this week glueing all the pieces together. These are the frame plates for the drivers side. It's long weld process watching inter weld temps and location. Making sure to spread the weld around as not to pretzel the frame.

Cranking away around here. Trying to get this thing on the ground. Got both frame plates fully welded. The pan hard mount is on, The steering box is sleeved and plated. Yes the radiator shroud will notched to get a nut on. The axle links and a steering links are root passed. With the tig. I like to tig my link ends it makes a nicer weld joint and on of two High angle driveline showed up. image.jpg

@omaguz thank you. That's a an older ifs steering box. When swapping to a solid axle you have to adapt one of these to work. The factory rack and pinon steering won't work. They see some stress from the axles so enforcing is a good way to prevent them from ripping out of the frame. I incorporated the mount into the frame plate. Then drilled holes in the frame and sleeved them so the bolts slide in and out. I then played the inside of the frame with .25 plate. All welded and sleeved. The steering box now has a flat solid surface to mount too and the frame is strong enough so that the big tires and axle won't rip it off. Hope that helps!
