Some final passes on the steering links. I am not great Weldor. But I try and someday maybe I'll be decent. These came out ok. image.jpg

Maybe I'm just used to seeing high prices on stuff after this build but that seems like a pretty good deal for machined and threaded links built to order.

Yea. Cost wise, they're comparable to just have a fabricator build them. Also they're not that heavy, but they're fkn beefy, especially the 2.25" one. My dad has 8 of them on his FJ and he love them.

And all the links are welded. Steering as well. Want a a time line on this. 3/4 days. Root pass and cap weave. All rod ends thread in without a hang up. The bigger links are the lowers. They are 2" .25 wall DOM. The pan hard and upper link are 1.75" .25 wall. And the steering links are 1.5".25 wall. 3/4" heims 7/8 heims and 1.25 ballistic joints.

They look good man. If I could offer one bit of advice, when finishing the plug welds don't stop and then taper, taper off as your still moving and your less liklely to get the "asshole" to appear. It happens a lot when plug welding because the gases have nowhere to escape.

It's awesome to see someone want to do better. I see so many so called welders who think they are the shit, when in reality their welds only look like it.
