bed / box interchange question

    Kinda new to the TACOMA line. Will a bed/ box from a '98 fit a '03 ? Is thsi the "2nd generation " or gen II ?

    Activator III brake controller, Extang Fulltilt toneau, Factory bed mat, Extra D-rings in the bed, 2ndary air filter removed, Garmin Ique GPS, Eco-2, AFE Pro Dry-s filter, USASPEC PA12-toy, Pioneer 3-way speakers, SG II on Blendmount, Gulf States Alarm added.
    It should 95.5 to 04 is a gen 1 truck

    Now in the later years of the gen 1 trucks there were two bed sizes, ie the double cab trucks were only available with a short box, and the regular and xtra-cab trucks had the long box, but other than that I think you should be able to interchange without a problem.

    05-current is a gen 2 truck.

    o.k. thanx for that info . BUT , I was just told that 2000 was a change. Just want to be sure.

    Yes a change, but not the bed.

    The early Tacos came out in 3 distinct styles: 95.5-97, 98-00 and 01-04, but I don't believe the beds ever changed.
