I've seen a lot of bed light threads , but never paid attention to details.

Now that's it's getting dark out earlier , I need some bed LEDs . What's the easiest and cleanest way to get power back there and control it by a switch in the cab .

Also , can anyone direct me to a clean oem looking switch .

I soldered up a set. If you're wanting to put the switch in the cab look at OTRATTW.com for switches.

I have power wire that runs from the engine bay to the bed (brought up through the bed pockets) and wired to lights. Now the wire from the engine bay is all relayed and fused. I just drilled a hole in the bed pockets and run the wire. Everything is zip tied to the frame rail, and wrapped in split loom

I just put bed lights in last week, and running power back was one of the issues I needed help with. I ended up running the power like another member (sorry I forgot who) suggested.

I bought an add a fuse from napa, put that into the radio fuse (7.5) in the cab. I put in a 5 ampfuse for the LED bed lights. Ran the power to a standard round lit-toggle also bought from napa and mounted the switch inside the coin drawer in front of the fuse panel. This way it can’t be seen when the coin drawer is closed. Then ran the load wire back under the kick panel and under the plastic piece that runs from the kick panelback on the edge of the door. Then up under the carpet and thru one of the rubber grommets to get under the truck. From there put the wire in some of that flexible black covering you can get cheap at harbor freight. I then just followed the rear light wring back and came up thru the bed in a hole I drilled behind the plastic end cap atthe end of the side rail.

If you want another switch option, I used this one for some front led pods which looks factory. Credit MikeyMcFly for the switch find. It fits perfect in the spot next to your A-TRAC and USB/Aux spots.

I'm happy so far with how they turned out, wish I would have done them sooner.
