Does anyone know if there is a constant 12 volt wire in the rear of a 2017 Tacoma? I want to install bed light and not have to run to battery. I like to just install switch in bed. I purchased small leds from Harbor Freight.
    Thank you

Not that I can think of. I know the toyota factory accessory bed lights wire up to the drivers side kick pannel inside the cab. Sending a + wire from the battery sounds like the easiest route

Okay thank you. I just hate to have to route a wire to the front. Do you know anything about bed, are they easy to drill. I was thinking about mounting them at back right behind brake lights.

Toyota has some OEM bed lights you can get that mount where ypu are thinking.

Also I had to route 12v back and ran the line down the frame to the main harness. The biggest challenge is the gas tank but otherwise wasn’t terrible.

I would put them here (where the paper is in the picture) so they are protected from you loading stuff in the bed. Very easy to drill its just thick plastic

If OP doesn't tow using the 7 pin, he could jumper the towing brake connector in the cab, then he'd have an always hot fused wire to tap.

I ran some wires to the bed when I added my aux fuse panel and accessories. I wired up rear facing LEDs on my bedrack and ran an extra for bed lights for later. Running the wire really isn't too bad, just get enough wire and some wire loom/wrap.

I brought mine up to the bed in the little corner by the bed/tail light/tailgate. There was enough gap to accomadate my ground, and the other three 12 or 10 gauge wires. (I also brought power over from the brake light for a third brake light)

    Edited for spelling, sorry beer

For just LEDs? something smaller, not a lot of amps.

I ran 10guage but thats because I hooked it up to a 4 switch breaker for LED lights and a fridge.
