Hey just wondering, I have a Gatortrax tonneau cover that i love for the security. But I also was thinking about getting a bed rack installed for my RTT. I would like to install a bed rack on top the installed tonneau cover. Has anyone done that before?

My KB Voodoo rack. It mounts to the bed rails and works great. The crossbars came in gray but I painted them. Now if my tent would get here I could mount it up.

Thanks. It's an RCI bedrack and it's 10-gauge steel (roughly twice the thickness of the kbvoodoo)

I'm going for a very similar setup right now. Having custom bedside caps fabricated that will support my FrontRunner rack at mid-height, and will have my RTT on top of that.

Is that a 63QT ARB (I have one, too)? Looks to be like one. Or at least one of the other models that's roughly 17" tall. I'm surprised you have that mounted not only on ARB's slide, but on top of a bed mat, too. Does it actually clear your tonneau, or do you lift the tonneau up to slide the fridge out? I'm having a hard time figuring out a sliding setup that will work with the fridge and clear the tonneau. There is just about 3/4" of vertical room to work with.

Can you tell me how much vertical room is lost by using the ARB fridge slide? Specifically, the thickness of the slide from the bed mat to the bottom of the fridge? ie. by how much does the fridge get raised (vs. sitting on the bed mat) when the slide is added?

I was thinking about that rack but I have the Truxedo Low Pro. I know I would have to cut into the tonneau rails but still not sure if that would be enough

It's the 37qt but same height just different length. It'll clear the tonneau when closed without the fridge blanket. With the blanket on I just unhook the tonneau at the tailgate and it slides out no problem. It is not on the bed mat. I just cut it to fit around the slide. I'll get you some dimensions if you need them.

Gotcha. I was thinking I could do the same thing with the bed mat. Yeah, dimensions of that height loss would be awesome. Thanks!

Oh wow, that's a TON. In that case I'm really surprised your fridge fits. With my rolling tonneau I've got 3/4" of room above my fridge, until the lowest point of the tonneau (front lip). Dang, so much for that option. Back to the custom setup idea. Thanks for confirming!

Any pics of how the tonneau cover mounts?
Here is one I have been working on that will be available soon!
I plan on offering different heights as well, this height will allow a cab rack to be installed at the same height as the bed rack, also fits a softtopper and allows longer items to be mounted and clear the shark fin. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
