So I borrowed PJ's Hi-Lift. I will experiment with the bed rail bar and the hi-lift tomorrow. I know there are different styles and sizes on Hi-Lifts. I'll see what I can try to do to make a work (or at least with the one I have).

    Thank you PJ!

Anyone have a night picture looking back? I'd like to see the light pattern that would be created from having lights installed in this location.

Of note, I have a cap on my truck, so this light bar wouldn't work for me. But I was trying to think of a way to do this before I put the cap on. Maybe I could find a use for the L brackets. Good work!

Yeah the one I have is pretty heavy. My concern is the tossing around it would get if I were off roading. But yeah I agree, that would be a lot of weight.

Even with a cap, don't you have access to your bed railing system? If so, these should work. I would suggest turning the L brackets the other direction like in the first picture. That way there is nothing against the windows.

Simply ran the wire through the grommet and then through the fire wall for power. I've got a switch inside. I'll eventually have another switch for the white light which will be angled down for bed use versus the yellowish off-roading light.

Oh yeah the nuts are hex flange nuts. So in a sense they are self locking nuts without the use of a locking washer. You should like the parts I'm sending with the L brackets and the bar.

Any other questions please let me know. Thank you to all and even those just looking. You can't beat the price point, functionality and design.
