Not sure how the 2nd gens actually mount, but I know they use plastic for the actual tie down locations. There is also quite a bit of flex in the 2nd gen rails, although I'm sure they're strong enough for hauling anything the truck can haul, I just dont know that I'd go looking specifically for that when there's better out there for cheaper. Also, the rail doesn't go all the way to the back of the bed, leaving like 8-10". I'm not completely sold on the sliding mounts either, as I'm not sure if there's any sort of locking method so they cant slide (looks like its just a tension screw to me, which can rattle loose).

Bestop also makes a version thats probably closer to OEM, but its a good $400.

With Macs, you'd have to call them to find the proper size, but I'm sure it would be under $200 to do 3 sides of the bed.

No clue what actual OEM would cost, but I'm sure it will be a whole lot more.

I really like the bestop but they come in pairs... and they are meant for the sides of the bed only.. if anything i only needed them for the front of the bed to install yakima blockheads bike racks.... any suggestions?
